From the Texas Hill Country to the Pacific Northwest
Every great photograph comes down to a moment of connection, light, and perspective. I’m Christy Pohler—an award-winning photographer and fine artist bringing a rich background in portraiture, event coverage, and multi-medium art to my new home in Seattle.
My journey behind the lens took a major leap in 2019 when I had the privilege of training alongside elite Getty Images photographers at SXSW. Mastering the energy of live venues, red carpets, high-profile conferences, and dynamic lighting (both on- and off-camera flash) gave me a deep appreciation for capturing real, fast-moving emotion under pressure.
Later that year, I opened my Texas studio, diving heart-first into Fine Art Portraiture, Glamour, and Wedding photography. During that season, I was honored to earn a Bronze Award in the prestigious Portrait Masters competition while serving incredible clients across the Texas Hill Country.
When 2020 brought the pandemic and unexpected health challenges, I had to close my studio doors to focus on recovery. But a creative heart doesn't stop creating. During my semi-retirement, I expanded my artistic horizon into sketching, digital art, and watercolor. Learning to paint and draw completely changed how I see light, texture, and composition through the camera lens, making me a more versatile, thoughtful visual artist.
Now, fully recovered and inspired by the moody beauty and creative energy of Seattle, I am thrilled to re-open my doors. Whether you're looking for an unforgettable fine art portrait, event coverage, or custom artwork, I can’t wait to bring your story to life.
